About Shalkato

Hello, my name is
Amanda Davies
and I have had Rottweilers for over 20 years now.

The name of my business: Shalkato is made
up from the first two letters of my first four dogs:

Shankly

     Alice

         Kaliko

              Tosca

​​

so they live on and a dream was created!

​

It all started
when I was looking for a different, special collar for a new puppy I had bred named Rozie,
but I couldn't find anything. I have been a seamstress most of my life, making various items of clothing including wedding dresses through the years.
I have a love of skulls and dragons, so I managed to find some ribbon with skulls on. I then spent many months sourcing high quality fittings and materials.

So it ended in me making Rozie's collar myself!

People would comment on how nice they thought it was and then they would ask me to make one for them.

After a while, it seemed natural to start my shop.

Every item is bespoke and made with love.
I can adapt any item to fit in with your needs.
